Fixing a broken item will save you money and divert otherwise usable items from the landfill. Join us for demonstrations on how to use tools, salvage old parts and make simple repairs. Bring your own item to fix as well as the supplies listed at registration. A socket that won't function? Bring with you a broken item, such as a lamp, or socket and your instructor will guide you through the repair process. Learn what tools you should have in your home, how to properly use the tools and how to work with electricity without the fear of being shocked. Discover what's WATT about volts, amps and watts. $5 fee paid to instructor at the start of class. WIRELESS ACCESS The Cary Senior Center is Wi-Fi from end-to-end. Bring your personal laptop computer, iPhone, PDA or other Wi-Fi- enabled device and take advantage of this free Wi-Fi service. BOARD GAMES Whether you prefer checkers to Scrabble or chess to backgammon, grab a friend or two and play one of our games. Games are stored in Classroom 303. TELEVISION & MOVIES Watch movies at the Cary Senior Center. Check with the front desk for room availability. A brief orientation is required before the first use.
