20 Summer 2018 Cary Senior Center Education Dog Obedience Classes (age 16 & up) You will learn the importance of your role as leader and teach your dog self-control. You and your dog learn sit, down, come, stay and to walk on a loose leash without pulling, resulting in improved behavior in public as well as at home. This course is for dogs 3.5 months and older. Location: Bond Park Community Center Instructor: Robina Thornton Fees: $149(R) $179(N) (6 classes) 114445 Wed Jun 6–Jul 18 7–8 p.m. (no class Jul 4) Distraction Proofing for your Dog (age 16 & up) Learn to eliminate tempting distractions when you are out with your dog. This class will improve your ability to control your dog in unexpected situations. By adding distractions and practicing commands off leash, your dog will improve self-control and make your public outings more fun. Each segment focuses on artworks and what it has taught us about Medicine, Agriculture, and Industry. From the earliest evidence of humankind's warlike endeavors, arts and art forms have had an enduring impact. Fees: $7(R) $9(N) (1 class) 115036 Mon Jul 9 9:30–11:30 a.m. NORTH CAROLINA & T HE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR The Civil War years in North Carolina are explored in this five-part presentation. From beginning to end North Carolina's involvement in the War between the states had many unique features and factors.
