PARKS PART THREE REGISTER ONLINE: mycary.org 149 Mills Park School/Park 425 Mills Park Drive, 27519 With a focus on athletic fields, Mills Park School Park is located on the campuses of Mills Park Middle and Elementary schools in West Cary. It is a collaborative effort between the Wake County School System and the Town of Cary. Hours: Limited to 5:30–11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m.–11 p.m. Saturday & Sunday Features: Lighted artificial turf multi-purpose field, lighted natural grass multi-purpose/track stadium field, an open-play area, lighted youth softball field, picnic shelter with restrooms, and a lighted basketball slab. New Hope Church Road Trailhead Park 2575 New Hope Church Road, 27519 Situated in northwestern Cary and adjacent to the American Tobacco Trail (ATT), the 12-acre site is the only trailhead along the ATT that was built and it is maintained by the Town. It serves as an important parking facility for Cary residents and users of the ATT and it is also one of the few locations in Wake and Chatham counties along the 22-mile ATT that offers drinking water and restroom facilities. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: 100-space parking lot, parking for horse trailers, picnic shelter, restrooms, public art, and an open space lawn. North Cary Park 1100 Norwell Blvd, 27513 One of the most popular parks in town, North Cary Park features a multitude of activities. Test your climbing skills on our unique climbing boulder and dust off your athletic skills in our sand volleyball courts, athletic fields and basketball courts. Take a stroll down our trails, sit down for a picnic, and enjoy our playground. Hours: Sunrise to sunset Features: Soccer field, two basketball slabs, four sand volleyball courts, playground, picnic shelter, picnic tables, restrooms, climbing boulders, and trails. c Cary Dog Parks Godbold Park, 2050 N.W. Maynard Road Jack Smith Park, 9725 Penny Road Open daily 7 a.m.–10 p.m. Cary Dog Parks provide a place for dog owners to let their pets run safely without a leash. Features include separate, lighted areas for small and large dogs; wood chip ground cover; benches; water stations; pet cleanup areas; and a five-foot-high fence with screening and an electronic entrance gate. REQUIREMENTS FOR PARK USE Annual pass (includes access to both parks) Single dog: $40 for all park users Multiple dogs: $60 all park users Day pass: $5 for all park users. Note: Day must be selected. All passes require updated proof of rabies vaccinations for each dog. You have 2 (two) options to obtain a pass: Online: The application materials you complete will be sent directly to our Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department staff. We will notify you (by email or call) with details about the next step, including taking payment over the phone with your Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or debit card. Please allow 3–5 days for processing. Passes will be mailed after payment is received. Walk-in: Bring a completed Cary Dog Park application with updated proof of rabies vaccinations for each dog into one of our Community Centers: Middle Creek Community Center, The Hive (Western Cary Recreation Facility), Herbert C.
