Carpenter Park Community Garden Open House Saturday, June 10 | 9–11 a.m. | Free Carpenter Park Community Garden Get the dirt on Carpenter Park Community Garden! Help work in the garden, enjoy a kid-friendly nature activity, and learn about organic gardening. No pets allowed. All ages are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult. 5th Annual Pimento Cheese Festival Saturday, June 10 | 11 a.m.–4 p.m. | Free Downtown Cary Academy Street will be lined with food trucks offering dishes that feature this Southern delicacy! Enjoy live music, grab a drink from local breweries, and taste pimento cheese samples from local restaurants and artisan pimento cheese makers. Yard Sale: Donation Drop Off Wednesday and Thursday, June 14–15 | 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. | Free Cary Senior Center Bring in your gently used, clean donations to the Senior Center. No cathode ray tube (i.e. box) TVs, baby cribs, or car seats will be accepted. All proceeds support the Cary Senior Center and senior clubs. Annual Yard Sale Saturday, June 17 | 7:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | Free Cary Senior Center Take home hidden treasures. You will find kitchenware, antiques, collectibles, electronics, clothing, outdoor items, furniture, and more. Admission is free, and all proceeds support the Cary Senior Center and senior clubs. Cash only! Juneteenth: Celebrate Freedom Saturday, June 17 | Free Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Sertoma Amphitheatre Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. Join us for a day of reflection and rejoicing.
