14 A GUIDE FOR WORKING WITH THE TOWN OF CARY C O M M U N I C AT I O N S Internal and external communications are extremely important in the Town of Cary, so we have created and support a variety of official products that can help you stay current on what's happening within and because of the organization. Make sure you take time regularly to review the following: C-Net – The organization's intranet can only be accessed from the Town's internal network or with credentials supplied upon starting work with the Town. Visit carync.gov/CNET for the latest on payroll, benefits and training, employee news, forms and policies, and much more. Cary's Website – Our public-facing website at carync.gov is your quick reference guide to who does what in the Town of Cary. It contains information on all services, departments, and projects, along with the contact information you need to get further details. Cary 311 – Get the latest from town hall by contacting our 311 team by web at carync.gov/311, email at 311@carync.gov, or by dialing 311 or (919) 469-4000 from outside town limits. Cary's citizen advocates are your ticket to more information on all of Cary's government's services and operations. Cary TV 11 – Watch your government in action on Cary's 24-hour government access channel, cable channel 11. View Council and board meetings live in real time, and watch produced content like documentaries, event recaps, and Cary Matters. Council and other public meetings are also available to watch live at youtube.com/@caryncgovchannel. Email – Get all the news from Town Hall when you want it by subscribing to the Town's email list. Select your preferences to receive news releases, weekly updates, monthly newsletters, and many other publications designed to keep citizens, visitors, and staff informed. To subscribe, visit carync.gov/email. BUD – All the big issues are covered in BUD, the Town of Cary's monthly utility bill insert. If you don't get a utility bill from Cary, you can still view BUD online at carync.gov/BUD. Bulletin Boards – Every department has at least one digital bulletin board displaying important employee information for staff. These screens are also included in the Cary Town Hall lobby, community centers, and in several other public locations around town. Social Media – Follow @caryncgov on social media. Cary is active on Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and several other channels. For a current list of accounts, visit carync.gov/social. W E L O O K F O R WA R D T O W O R K I N G W I T H YO U !
