This quarter, Cary completed construction of two new outlet structures, one at each dam, and both have passed all required testing. Initial tree replanting along Lake Grove Boulevard is complete, with stream restoration work downstream of the lower outlet structure substantially complete and reconstruction of the lower earthen dam underway. Once finished, the project will add new recreational amenities, including an open grassy area for passive use and an enhanced greenway connection from Lake Grove Drive. The expanded greenway network will link both sides of the lower lake, creating continuous connections across both dams and supporting Cary's long-term goals for mobility, recreation, and resilient infrastructure.
