During this session staff will be introducing basic tennis strokes and techniques in an interactive format for you and your child. The instructional staff will also provide you with drills and games to take to your neighborhood court or do in your driveway. Each youth registration must be accompanied by one adult registration. The Cary Tennis Park maintains an interest board for match play. If you would like to play but do not have an opponent, stop by the park and add your name to the board or find out about other players looking for matches. This board is located in the main lobby of the park office. • Introductory Tennis Leagues. Introductory tennis leagues are for players new to the game interested in a less competitive and a more social format of play. • USTA League Play. The Cary area has its own USTA Adult and Senior Leagues. Leagues include spring team leagues, summer Mixed Doubles and fall Combo Doubles. Local area clubs and the Cary Tennis Park form teams to participate. For more information and to register, contact Erin Jennings ustallc@westernwaketennis.com. • Organized Play and Facility Rentals. The Cary Tennis Park hosts several organized leagues, corporate leagues, and social play groups. The Tennis Park is also available to rent for special events such as parties, charities and business outings. • CTP Challenge Ladder. The CTP provides a ten week Competitive Singles Ladder for adults. Players set up their own matches at their convenience and can play as often as they like. Players earn points for challenges to move higher on the ladder. Levels are determined by using NTRP system. Registration for the Challenge Ladder begins four weeks before the official start date of the program. Registration is a two-fold process. First stop by the CTP and complete the registration form, sign waiver and pay the fee. Then, register online at www.townofcary. org. Players may join for up to four weeks after the start of the ladder. Contact the Cary Tennis Park (919) 462-2061 for more information. • Champions Ladder. Each season tournament champion will be recognized on the wall of champions at the Tennis Park. Prizes will also be awarded to the season's tournament champion.
