18 September–December 2016 Cary Senior Center Computer Learning Computer Skills 2 for Windows 10 This course will teach you how to organize and manipulate all kinds of files (documents, pictures, music, etc.). You will also learn how programs and other information are organized on your computer. A student Flash Drive is required. We will discuss searching the internet with search engines such as Bing, using Gmail and setting up an account, and basic MS Office applications including: Word (word processing), Power Point (slide show presentations), and Excel (basic spreadsheets). A flash drive is needed for this class. Windows 10 incorporates features from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 with new and enhanced features. This hands-on workshop will demonstrate the new and enhanced features found in Windows 10 using the keyboard and mouse. This course is not for beginners, requires basic computer skills. Most classes are held in the Media Room unless otherwise stated. Explore and Upgrade Windows 10 Windows 10 is designed to please both touch and mouse users. It's also designed to be intuitive for users of both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, incorporating the "best of both worlds" to enhance your experience and help you be more productive. This seminar will introduce you to the basic look and feel of the new operating system, provide an overview of new and enhanced features and offer you information to upgrade your Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 OS to Windows 10. This course introduces you to the basics of computing and provides extensive practice using the mouse and the keyboard. You are introduced to and use the WordPad and the Paint applications programs.
