Slab and extruder construction are the basic techniques for birdhouses, birdbaths, garden plaques, luminaries, etc. Instruction also includes glazing and decoration. Prerequisite required. Practice time outside of class is necessary to develop wheel-work skills. Prerequisite required. Complete a contour line drawing of a still life using contrast and composition. Complete black-and-white studies using graphite and other dry media. Bring a 9x12 in. (or similar) sketchbook.
