Use acrylic paints to spray, stamp, splatter, scribble, and scrape paint. Color composition and different styles of abstraction from cubism to minimalism will be explored. Learn about composition, set-up, brush types, handling, and color-mixing and theory, as well as several application methods (underpainting, glazing, scumbling, and broken color). Instructor: Hsiang-Ting Yen Fees: $114(R) $144(N) (5 classes) 101303 Wed Apr 5–May 3 6:30–9:30 p.m. Effortless Metal Forming by Hydraulic Press (age 16 & up) Copper and silver sheet can be pressed into 3–D forms by applying hydraulic press, and using a die to define the shape of the outer edge. It makes forming more accessible, and creates the depth and volume to a personal ornament. Prerequisite: A Beginning Metals and Jewelry class.
