You start programming using blocks that generate HTML5/ Javascript, the most popular programming language and learn techniques for customizing and enhancing your games! Bridge Basics 1: An Introduction to Bridge (age 10 & up) For beginners and nearly beginners, you will start playing immediately! Focus is on how to bid and play, as well as defense, including topics like bidding/responses for no trump, major suits, minor suits, and two popular conventions—stayman and transfers. Each class includes hands-on practice. The textbook, Bridge Basics 1 by Audrey Grant, is included in the cost of the course. Location: Herbert C. Hands-on practice will focus on preemptive opening bids, overcalls, takeout doubles, and advances. The textbook, Bridge Basics 2 Competitive Bidding by Audrey Grant, is included in the cost of the course. Location: Herbert C. The modification of a forcing 1 No Trump bid helps us arrive at the best game contract. Hands-on practice explores 2/1 bidding, forcing verses non-forcing one no trump, and limit raises/rebids by opener/responder.
