Handbuilding students must demonstrate general knowledge of attachments and finishing. Wheel students are required to demonstrate their ability to center clay on the wheel and throw a cylinder. All participants must pass a written pottery skills test in order to be issued an Open Studio Membership Pass. Textural tools and sprig molds will be used for surface embellishment. Pre-requisite class: Pottery basics. Participants must be able to center and throw a cylinder. Learn the stages to successful trimming, different ways to trim, and all the tools used for various visual effects, adding decoration, and details through trimming.
