This is the 'wipe out' method, where there is no drawing required and the image seems to emerge from the canvas as the paint is wiped out. This technique produces a looser painting and will also include mixing greens that give life to the painting, lots of other color mixing, composition and 6 techniques that add depth to your paintings, plus much more. This class will teach you everything you need to know from drawing to mixing under painting and color palettes. If you choose to paint a portrait, first time students will copy an old master painting from photos furnished by the Instructor. Students wishing to paint another subject supply their own photos which must be enlarged to an 8 x 10. This class is for water- based oils only and you will not be able to begin this class without your supplies.
