Kids will enjoy a fun-filled day of sports, games, cooking, and fun! For lunch we'll make kid-friendly dishes like tacos, pizza, and spaghetti in the kitchen. Learn the key differences between the SAT and ACT, take a short academic questionnaire, complete sample test questions, and learn which test fits you best. Leave with an understanding of each test, individual recommendations, and test-prep strategies and schedule. Location: Herbert C. Prepare to complete drafts of the NC College Application or Common Application; utilize academics, extracurricular, volunteer and summer activities to enhance your application; and complete a draft essay that can be used for multiple applications. Young Community Center Instructor: Rhonda Manns, A2Z College Planning Fees: $248(R) $278(N) (3 classes) 93309 Tue-Thu Aug 2–4 1–4 p.m. Pet Ed Dog Obedience 101 (age 16 & up) You will learn the importance of your role as leader and teach your dog self-control. Your dog will learn simple commands such as sit, down, come, and stay. They will learn to walk on a loose leash without pulling, resulting in improved behavior in public as well as at home. For dogs four months and older. Location: Bond Park Community Center Instructor: Robina Thornton with Dream Dogs NC Fees: $125(R) $155(N) (6 classes) 94611 Wed Jun 15–Jul 20 7–8 p.m. Advanced Dog Obedience (age 16 & up) For dogs of any age that know sit, down, wait, come, stay, and can walk on a loose leash without pulling. By adding distractions and practicing commands off leash, your dog will improve self-control, strengthen skills, and confirm your leadership. Final class includes American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification test.
